2024 Imperial Valley Economic & Energy Summit Recap
IVEDC recently hosted its annual Imperial Valley Economic & Energy Summit from June 12th to 14th, 2024. Co-hosted by Imperial Regional Alliance and the Imperial Valley Business Resource Center, the three-day event brought together local leaders and industry experts to discuss industry and economic growth in Imperial Valley.
The summit kicked off with an Economic Forum and Reception on June 12th at the Brawley Elks Lodge covering various project topics from "Dream of Lithium Valley", "Lithium Valley Outreach", "Project ATLiS Development and Benefits", "Community Transformation" and "Clean Water Ventures".
On June 13th, the summit continued at Imperial Valley College. Key sessions included panel discussions "Innovations in Energy", "Lithium & Geothermal", "Green Fleets, Policy, and Compliance", "Zero & Near Zero Emission Vehicles", and special presentations on the "Lithium Valley Specific Plan Area" and "Lithium Valley Tech Hub".
The final day, June 14th, featured workforce panel discussions on "Imperial Valley's New Economy", "Recompete Pilot Program", "K-16 Collaborative", "Lithium Valley Workforce Study" and "California Jobs First".
